Wood Chips
Hard Wood Coppice Wood Chips
These wood chips come from the renewable coppice woodlands. Every time a coppiced tree is cut down it grows back. This can take up to 8 years. When the tree is cut down it allows light to reach the forest floor. This light causes other flora and fauna to flourish. Without this light there would be no Bluebells, rare butterfly species such as the Pearl Bordered fritillary would become extinct.

At present there is approximately 17000 hectares of unmanaged coppice woodland in the South East, it is a great and under utilised resource. By using this product on your garden you are helping to support local employment in the forests and to encourage presently endangered species to survive, (as well as stopping the weeds growing and making your garden look good!)

Wood chips are used in front of this play house
These chips are mainly chestnut wood they are hard wood so will take longer to break down anecdotal evidence suggests 4 seasons. This is good for use in the construction of paths and for mulching borders to maintain water and prevent weed germination.
